Boston Bruins News & Updates

Vladimir Tarasenko and Carter Verhaeghe netted goals while their team enjoyed a double-minor advantage against Boston, aiding the Florida Panthers to a 6-2 victory, with Sergei Bobrovsky blocking 14 shots.

Evan Rodrigues found the back of the net twice, and Brandon Montour scored as well, contributing to the Panthers securing consecutive wins following a loss in their season opener at their home ground.

Without their captain Brad Marchand, Boston managed to score through Jakub Lauko and Jake DeBrusk, with Jeremy Swayman stopping 27 shots.

The game escalated after a scoreless first period when Rodrigues capitalized on a power play. The lead was extended to 3-0 with goals from Tarasenko and Verhaeghe during a subsequent power play.

In the final period, Montour's power-play goal pushed the Panthers' lead to 4-0. Although Lauko managed to put Boston on the scoreboard, the Panthers widened the gap with a goal from an empty net by Sam Reinhart and another power-play goal by Rodrigues.

With the series set to continue on Sunday, the Bruins are tasked with securing a victory in Game 4 to prevent falling into a 3-1 series deficit.
