The Pittsburgh Penguins secured a 6-2 win against the Calgary Flames on Saturday night. Michael Bunting and Kris Letang each recorded a power-play goal and two assists during the game.
The Penguins displayed clear control with goals from Philip Tomasino, Rickard Rakell, Anthony Beauvillier, and Blake Lizotte. Sidney Crosby contributed to the effort by extending his point streak to four games with an assist.
Despite Alex Nedeljkovic making 30 saves, Calgary managed to score in the third period through Jonathan Huberdeau and Nazem Kadri. The Flames have struggled this season, conceding multiple power-play goals in six games.
Dan Vladar's 37 saves were not enough to stop Calgary from experiencing a four-game losing streak, while Pittsburgh achieved their first three-game winning streak of the season.
A crucial moment occurred when Martin Pospisil's shot hit the post, giving Pittsburgh a chance to capitalize on their momentum. Nedeljkovic showcased his impressive skills with a glove save on Rasmus Andersson and by stopping a close-range scramble in the second period.
Pittsburgh's effectiveness on power plays was evident, with their record improving to 33-2-1 in the last 36 games where they have scored three or more power-play goals.
Looking ahead, Pittsburgh will be playing at home against Florida, while Calgary is set to host Columbus on Tuesday.
