Bobby Brink delivered the deciding goal in the second period, and Samuel Ersson stopped 24 shots, leading the Philadelphia Flyers to end their eight-game slide with a 4-1 win over the New York Rangers on Thursday night.

Additional goals were contributed by Cam York, Travis Konecny, and Noah Cates for the Flyers, who hadn't seen success since their win over Boston on March 23rd. Ryan Poehling also made his mark with two assists, fueling hopes for Philadelphia's postseason participation.

On the other side, the Rangers experienced a halt to their seven-game triumph streak over the Flyers, a series where they had previously experienced only one defeat in 11 encounters. Their only goal came from Artemi Panarin, earned during a power play.

Ersson's performance lifted his season statistics to 22 wins, 18 losses, and 7 ties, with Panarin being the only Ranger to score past him. The Rangers are still aiming to surpass their franchise record but remain stopped at 53 wins.

Adam Fox was honored with the Rod Gilbert "Mr. Ranger" Award, acknowledging his leadership on the team and community engagement efforts.

The upcoming games on Saturday will see the Rangers going up against the Islanders and the Flyers facing the New Jersey Devils.
