Pittsburgh Penguins News & Updates

Pittsburgh Penguins players Kris Letang and John Ludvig, who serve on defense, along with forward Matt Nieto, are all in the process of healing following recent surgical procedures.

Letang, at the age of 37, underwent a surgical procedure last Friday to mend a fractured finger on his left hand, with his recovery expected to span about eight weeks.

At 23 years old, Ludvig had a surgical operation on April 24 aimed at repairing the extensor tendon in his left wrist, with his return to the ice anticipated to take between four and six months.

Nieto, who is 31, recently had surgery to reconstruct the MCL in his left knee on May 2, resulting in a recovery timeline of six to seven months before he can play again.
