Nashville Predators News & Updates

Kyle Connor was the hero for the Winnipeg Jets as he scored the decisive goal in a 4-3 overtime win against the Nashville Predators, finding the net at 1:52 into the extra period.

Contributions also came from Mark Scheifele, who notched a goal and provided two assists, and from Gabriel Vilardi and Dylan DeMelo, who each added a goal. Connor Hellebuyck was outstanding in goal, stopping a season-high 45 shots, helping the Jets extend their winning streak to four games.

For the Predators, Tommy Novak, Spencer Stastney, and Ryan O'Reilly managed to get the puck past the goalie. Despite the effort, Juuse Saros faced a challenging night with 18 saves. Although they lost in overtime, the Predators secured a position in the playoffs.

The winning goal came from a skillful 2-on-1 maneuver orchestrated by Connor and Scheifele in the overtime period, resulting in Connor’s shot beating Saros.

The Jets got off to a flying start in the game, impressively scoring three goals from their first five attempts. However, Nashville fought back in the third period with Stastney and O'Reilly scoring, setting the stage for Connor's overtime heroics.

Looking ahead, the Jets are set to play Dallas on Thursday, and the Predators will face Chicago on Friday.
