Los Angeles Kings News & Updates

Despite missing their top scorer, Brock Boeser, Vancouver managed to secure a 4-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.

An illegal hit from Tanner Jeannot on Boeser led to a five-minute power play for Vancouver, which was capitalized on by Conor Garland to equalize. Alongside Garland, Jake DeBrusk, J.T. Miller, and Quinn Hughes found the back of the net for the Canucks. Goaltender Kevin Lankinen contributed by making 25 saves.

For Los Angeles, Quinton Byfield and Vladislav Gavrikov scored, while their goaltender Darcy Kuemper recorded 19 saves throughout the game. Mikey Anderson exited the match due to an injury to his face.

In the third period, Quinn Hughes scored to extend the Canucks' lead to 3-1. He demonstrated skillful footwork to create the opportunity for his shot.

Currently, Hughes has accumulated a goal and an assist over the past three games and is ranked third in points among defensemen, with only Cale Makar and Josh Morrissey ahead.

Looking ahead, the Canucks are set to play the Oilers on Saturday, marking the beginning of a six-game series at home, while the Kings will be hosting the Blue Jackets.
