New York Rangers News & Updates

The New York Rangers have come to an agreement with defenseman Ryan Lindgren on a one-year deal, thus avoiding the need for arbitration.

Recognized for his strong physical presence, Lindgren has established himself as an essential player for the team, often playing alongside Adam Fox on the top defensive pairing.

At 26 years old, Lindgren logged over 19 minutes of ice time per game during the regular season and more than 20 minutes per game in the playoffs last season.

Should the team and Lindgren fail to reach a contract extension by July 1, he will have the opportunity to enter free agency next summer.

Since being drafted in 2016, Lindgren has participated in 376 NHL games. He was brought to the Rangers from the Boston Bruins in a trade made in 2018.
