In Buffalo, the Buffalo Sabres secured a 4-3 win against the St. Louis Blues with Rasmus Dahlin scoring the decisive goal in overtime.
Alex Tuch and Ryan McLeod contributed both goals and assists, leading Buffalo to their fourth victory in five matches. Zach Benson found the net as well, while Devon Levi made 24 saves.
For St. Louis, Brandon Saad scored two goals and Pavel Buchnevich added another. Jordan Binnington managed to stop 29 shots.
The Blues were ahead 3-2 until Tuch leveled the score with 7:03 left in regulation. Dahlin scored his fourth power-play goal of the season during overtime.
Before this game, Brandon Saad had managed four assists over nine games but hadn't scored a goal for the Blues.
The Sabres were without their top scorer, Tage Thompson, and goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen due to health concerns.
A penalty against Oskar Sundqvist for goaltender interference at the end of the third period granted the Sabres a full power play to start the overtime.
Zach Benson has managed to score in three out of five games since rejoining the team after an injury.
The Sabres will head to Philadelphia for their next match on Saturday, while the Blues will continue their three-game trip in Boston.
