Florida Panthers News & Updates

The Florida Panthers made the most of a decisive power play in overtime, with Sam Reinhart's goal evening the Eastern Conference Final at 2-2 against the New York Rangers.

Reinhart's effectiveness on the power play has been evident all season as he leads the NHL in power-play goals.

This victory followed two consecutive overtime games in the series, but in this instance, the Panthers capitalized on their power play opportunity.

In net, Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 21 shots for Florida. For the Rangers, Vincent Trocheck and Alexis Lafrenière found the back of the net, while Igor Shesterkin made 37 saves.

Game 5 is set to take place in New York on Thursday, with Game 6 scheduled to return to Sunrise on Saturday, where the Prince of Wales Trophy for the Eastern Conference champions will be present.

Despite falling short in this game, the Rangers remain optimistic as they head back home for Game 5.

Early in the game, the Panthers trailed following a Rangers power play goal but kept themselves in contention with goals from Bennett and Verhaeghe.

The Rangers made a strong push in the third period, yet the game remained tied 2-2, sending the match into overtime where Reinhart secured the win.

With the series now tied 2-2, the upcoming games promise an electrifying atmosphere.
