Roope Hintz, a forward for the Dallas Stars, will not participate in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals against the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday due to an injury to his upper body incurred during the semifinals.

At the age of 27, Hintz has been absent from the last three matches following an incident where he blocked a shot in the initial period of Game 4 versus Colorado. This came shortly after receiving a cross-check from Nathan MacKinnon.

Throughout the playoffs, Hintz has contributed with six points, comprising two goals and four assists, over 11 games. Throughout the regular season, he accumulated a total of 65 points with 30 goals and 35 assists across 80 games.
