Dallas Stars' Roope Hintz will miss Game 6 because of an injury to his upper body. He incurred this injury during Game 4 by blocking a shot and receiving a cross-check. The team's coach, Peter DeBoer, expressed hope that Hintz might recover in time for Game 7 or for the conference finals.
In a similar situation, Yakov Trenin of the Colorado Avalanche will not participate in Game 6 following an upper-body injury he got in Game 5. Trenin is an important player in the team's penalty-killing efforts.
Throughout the playoffs, Hintz has accumulated six points. Meanwhile, Trenin's condition is being monitored on a day-to-day basis.
