In a match against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Jack Roslovic contributed significantly to the Carolina Hurricanes' 5-1 win by scoring two goals and providing an assist. The Hurricanes' victory was further supported by goals from Jordan Martinook, Jaccob Slavin, and Eric Robinson. Carolina's goalkeeper, Pyotr Kochetkov, made an impressive 35 saves.
Pittsburgh's lone goal came from Blake Lizotte, while their goaltender, Alex Nedeljkovic, made 14 saves. The Hurricanes took advantage early on, scoring two goals with their first three shots against Nedeljkovic, who used to play for Carolina.
Roslovic scored goals in both the first and second periods, securing a 3-0 lead for the Hurricanes. The Penguins found it challenging to capitalize on their power-play opportunities, as they were unable to score in all four attempts.
During a crucial moment, Kochetkov made important saves while the Hurricanes were killing a four-minute penalty, which helped maintain their lead.
With nine goals in 12 games, Roslovic is currently the Hurricanes' leading scorer, having already surpassed his total from the previous season.
Looking ahead, the Penguins are set to play against Washington on Friday, while the Hurricanes are scheduled to face Colorado on Saturday.
