Ryan O'Reilly's Decisive Shootout Goal Leads Nashville Predators to a 3-2 Victory Over New Jersey Devils

Ryan O'Reilly was the hero in the shootout, securing a 3-2 win for the Nashville Predators against the New Jersey Devils on a Sunday evening. Roman Josi and Luke Evangelista were among the scorers for Nashville, with Evangelista's goal during a power-play towards the end of the third period bringing the score level at 2-2.

For the Devils, goals during the regular time were contributed by Jack Hughes and Chris Tierney. Nashville's Filip Forsberg and O'Reilly assisted twice, and Juuse Saros blocked 23 shots.

After Kaapo Kahkonen left the game due to an injury, Jake Allen stepped in as goalie for New Jersey, making 29 saves. With an assist on Jack Hughes' goal, Luke Hughes broke the record for most points in a season by a Devils rookie defenseman.

The Devils will be without Curtis Lazar for possibly the rest of the season due to an upper-body injury.

Looking ahead, the Predators are set to play against Winnipeg on Tuesday, and the Devils will be up against Toronto on the same day.
