Florida Panthers News & Updates

Sam Bennett, who ranks as the second-leading scorer for the Florida Panthers, was not part of Tuesday's game against the New Jersey Devils because of an injury to his upper body. Bennett has accumulated 15 points over 15 games this season, marking his best start, with only Sam Reinhart ahead of him in scoring for the team.

The specific cause of Bennett's injury is yet to be revealed. Although Panthers coach Paul Maurice had initially predicted that the lineup would remain unchanged, Mackie Samoskevich took Bennett’s place in the forward lines.

Now in his 11th NHL season, Bennett has achieved a career total of 300 points over 630 games. His performance includes seven goals and seven assists during Florida's playoff journey last season.

Florida is scheduled to play against New Jersey once more on Thursday and will then host a game against Winnipeg on Saturday.
