San Jose Sharks News & Updates

On Thursday, the San Jose Sharks set an unfortunate milestone by losing 3-2 to the Los Angeles Kings, marking the second consecutive season without a win in their first eight matches.

The Sharks have started this season with a disappointing record of 0-6-2, following last year's poor beginning of 0-10-1. This challenging situation is notable as they are the first team since the Boston Bruins of the 1960s to endure such a streak.

Head coach Ryan Warsofsky expressed his concerns regarding the team's ongoing struggles, highlighting the necessity for improvement.

Ryan Warsofsky emphasized that players must enjoy playing in the NHL, suggesting that if they don't, they might be on the wrong team or in the wrong place.

San Jose has consistently faced difficulties with slow starts, having been outscored 12-4 in the first period this season. Even though Mikael Granlund scored two power-play goals later in the game, the team was unable to overcome the initial 3-0 deficit.

Warsofsky also criticized the team's lack of consistency, urging for more stable performance and greater contributions from all players.
