Seattle Kraken Blank Nashville Predators: Daccord Secures First Shutout of Season, Montour Increases Lead in Defensemen Goals

Joey Daccord delivered an outstanding performance by making 24 saves, helping Seattle achieve their first shutout of the season with a 3-0 win over Nashville on Wednesday.

Goals from Daniel Sprong, Brandon Montour, and Yanni Gourde aided Seattle, allowing them to extend their winning streak to five games.

Daccord's remarkable game featured six saves in the first period, eight in the second, and ten in the third, resulting in his fourth career shutout.

Juuse Saros of Nashville managed to make 33 saves, yet the Predators' record over their last five games fell to 1-2-2.

Sprong ignited the scoring late in the second period, Montour added another goal shortly after the third period began, and Gourde finalized the win with an empty-net goal.

Less than ten minutes before the end, Nashville missed a chance to score due to a disallowed goal after review, as Tommy Novak's kick was deemed illegal.

Chandler Stephenson played a crucial role for Seattle, providing assists for all three goals, marking his third multi-assist game this season.

The Kraken completed their six-game homestand with a 5-1-0 record, and Nashville is set to host Winnipeg on Saturday. Seattle plans to head to Los Angeles for their upcoming match.
