Seattle Kraken Reveal Captaincy During NHL's Historic Season with Every Team Having a Captain

Before the start of their season with a 3-2 defeat to the St. Louis Blues, the Seattle Kraken named Jordan Eberle as their captain. This decision marks the first instance since the 2010-11 season where all 32 NHL teams have officially appointed captains.
Other significant captaincy announcements include the selection of Clayton Keller for the Utah Hockey Club, Rasmus Dahlin for the Buffalo Sabres, and Victor Hedman, who has taken over from Steven Stamkos, for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
While some teams have chosen to operate without a captain, using a group of alternates instead, the appointment of captains across all teams shows a dedication to upholding traditional leadership roles within the league.
