Ottawa Senators News & Updates

Josh Norris netted his second goal just under a minute before the end, securing a 2-1 win for the Ottawa Senators against the Detroit Red Wings.

For the Senators, Linus Ullmark blocked 19 shots, helping to end a nine-game streak where they conceded at least three goals.

Ottawa kicked off the scoring with Norris's initial goal in the first period. Alex DeBrincat equalized for the Red Wings during a power play in the third period.

Even though the Senators did not capitalize on five power play chances, they still claimed the win.

The Senators thought they had increased their lead to 2-0 in the second period, but the Red Wings successfully argued that the goal was offside.

Throughout the scoreless second period, Ottawa had a shooting advantage, outshooting Detroit 13-4.

Next, the Red Wings are set to host the Colorado Avalanche, while the Senators will face the Nashville Predators, with both games scheduled for Saturday night.
