Ottawa Senators News & Updates

Brady Tkachuk's goal during the power play in the third period was crucial, leading the Ottawa Senators to a 4-3 victory against the Calgary Flames.

Adam Gaudette, Drake Batherson, and Cole Reinhardt also scored, helping Ottawa put an end to their five-game losing streak.

For Calgary, Jonathan Huberdeau, Yegor Sharangovich, and Mikael Backlund found the net, while Anton Forsberg's impressive 24 saves contributed significantly to Ottawa's win.

After Calgary's initial goal was disallowed for contacting Forsberg, Ottawa took advantage of a power play situation.

Ottawa's success was supported by Forsberg's excellent goaltending, whereas penalties were a setback for Calgary.

An important moment was Forsberg making consecutive saves on Sharangovich and Matt Coronato toward the end of the second period, keeping Ottawa in the lead.

This victory marks only the second time this season that Ottawa has won a game after conceding the first goal.

Looking ahead, the Flames will compete against the Red Wings, and the Senators will begin a three-game road trip, starting with a match against the Sharks.
