Seth Jarvis delivered the game-winning goal just 88 seconds into overtime, securing a 3-2 win for the Carolina Hurricanes over the Philadelphia Flyers.
This marked Jarvis' 26th goal for the season, contributing to Carolina's fifth straight victory. Goalie Frederik Andersen stopped 30 shots, maintaining a perfect record since coming back from an extended break.
Both Jordan Martinook and Jalen Chatfield found the net for the Hurricanes. On the Flyers' side, Scott Laughton and Travis Konecny provided the goals, with Samuel Ersson defending the goal with 30 saves. The Flyers have faced challenges recently, losing three out of their last four matches.
Konecny managed to level the score with less than 10 minutes left in the regular game time. Meanwhile, Flyers' captain Sean Couturier was notably absent for the second game in a row.
