Pavel Datsyuk, Jeremy Roenick, Shea Weber, Natalie Darwitz, and Krissy Wendell-Pohl have been honored with induction into the 2024 Hockey Hall of Fame.
Datsyuk and Weber were eligible for the first time this year. Additionally, Colin Campbell and David Poile were inducted under the Builders category.
Datsyuk, renowned as a Detroit Red Wings icon, secured the Stanley Cup twice. His exceptional stickhandling and defensive skills earned him the Selke Trophy on three occasions.
Weber, who had stints with the Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens, was a three-time finalist for the Norris Trophy and an Olympic gold medalist for Team Canada.
Roenick, who became eligible in 2012, played for five different teams. He accumulated 595 points in 524 games with the Chicago Blackhawks and stands 42nd in all-time NHL goals.
Darwitz and Wendell-Pohl, former teammates at the University of Minnesota, are the first pair of women's players to be inducted together since 2010.
Campbell, serving as the NHL’s senior vice president of hockey operations, and Poile, the general manager with the most wins in NHL history, were also honored.
Patrick Marleau, Ryan Miller, Pekka Rinne, Alexander Mogilny, Jennifer Botterill, and Meghan Duggan remain among those waiting for their opportunity to join the Hall of Fame.
