San Jose Sharks News & Updates

To enhance their lineup, the San Jose Sharks have added two forwards. They claimed 31-year-old seasoned player Barclay Goodrow off waivers from the New York Rangers. Goodrow has played pivotal roles in numerous deep playoff campaigns. His notable contributions include aiding San Jose’s advance to the Western Conference finals in 2019 and helping Tampa Bay secure consecutive Stanley Cup wins in 2020 and 2021.

Additionally, the Sharks traded with the Dallas Stars to acquire 23-year-old Ty Dellandrea. Known for his proficiency in penalty killing, Dellandrea has amassed 14 goals and 28 assists over 151 NHL games. Though he is expected to become a restricted free agent in July, the Sharks will retain his arbitration rights.

These new additions are aimed at providing the Sharks with extra depth and experience, which will be particularly beneficial as they work to integrate young talents like the projected first overall draft pick Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith.
