St. Louis Blues News & Updates

There is a possibility that St. Louis Blues defenseman Torey Krug could miss the entire 2024-25 NHL season due to experiencing pre-arthritic changes in his left ankle.

The team shared that Krug will be going through non-surgical rehabilitation which is expected to last between six and eight weeks. Should surgery be required, the 33-year-old player will be out for the season.

Currently, Krug is out indefinitely. This condition can be traced back to a previous bone fracture he experienced earlier in his career. He injured his ankle during a preseason game with the Boston Bruins in 2018.

Following the Bruins' loss to the Blues in the 2019 Stanley Cup Final, Krug signed a seven-year, $45.5 million contract with St. Louis in 2020. Since then, the Michigan native has scored 151 points in 262 regular-season and playoff games.
