Dylan Holloway, forward for the St. Louis Blues, was back at practice on Wednesday following a distressing event the day before.
In Tuesday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Holloway was hit in the neck by a puck and had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher. He mentioned feeling dizzy after the hit and had limited recollection until being placed on the stretcher.
Though the injury appeared serious, Holloway was released from the hospital on Tuesday night and permitted to engage in light activities. According to Blues coach Drew Bannister, there is potential for his return in Thursday's game.
His parents, present at the game when the incident happened, accompanied him to the hospital and are currently staying by his side.
Holloway is optimistic about a swift recovery, but the team plans to exercise caution and monitor his condition on a daily basis.
