The St. Louis Blues have secured defenseman Scott Perunovich for next season with a $1.15 million contract.
At 26 years old, Perunovich was a restricted free agent with the right to arbitration. This new deal represents an increase from his previous $775,000 salary.
Since being drafted in 2018, Perunovich has accumulated 27 points over 96 NHL games, with an average of 15 minutes on the ice per game. Last season, he recorded 17 assists in 54 games for St. Louis.
Bringing Perunovich on board offers the Blues financial predictability. Meanwhile, players like Justin Faulk, Torey Krug, Colton Parayko, and Nick Leddy remain potential candidates for trades or buyouts.
