Matthew Tkachuk feels that the image of the Florida Panthers as the NHL's primary troublemakers is now outdated.
The previous season saw the Panthers gaining a reputation for their tough play and frequent post-whistle altercations. Tkachuk, however, asserts that the team has grown and now concentrates on adhering to the rules while playing intensely.
Coach Paul Maurice attributes the reduced unnecessary penalties to the team's increased maturity. Nevertheless, the Panthers still face a significant test against the Edmonton Oilers, who possess an intimidating power play.
Tkachuk stressed the importance of remaining within the game's boundaries and avoiding crossing the line. Their goal is to be the first team since 2009 to win the Stanley Cup after falling short in the previous year's final.
With the Stanley Cup Final approaching, Tkachuk shared his excitement and anticipation for the challenges that await the Panthers.
