Steven Stamkos Bids Emotional Goodbye to Tampa Bay, Starts Fresh in Nashville

Steven Stamkos has written a heartfelt farewell letter to the Tampa Bay community, reflecting on his journey from a young draft pick to a two-time Stanley Cup champion.

Now at 34 years old, Stamkos thanked the city for welcoming him as an 18-year-old and for the support he received throughout his career.

Unable to reach an agreement with the Lightning, Stamkos has signed a four-year contract with the Nashville Predators.

He reminisced about his arrival in Tampa as the top overall pick in 2008, highlighting the warmth and connection he felt with the organization.

The Lightning's back-to-back Stanley Cup wins in 2020 and 2021 strengthened the bond between the team and the city, creating unforgettable moments.

Stamkos cherishes the memories of his time in Tampa, where he played over 1,000 games and made significant contributions to the team's success.
