Jeremy Swayman, a goalie who is in the midst of a contract disagreement with Boston, has shared his wish to continue as a Bruin during the Amazon Prime docuseries "FACEOFF: Inside the NHL."
After participating in the Bruins' playoff defeat to Florida, Swayman stressed his dedication to the team. Even though contract discussions are ongoing, he expressed his steadfast determination.
The Bruins have named Swayman as their starting goalie after trading away Linus Ullmark, but they have not yet finalized an agreement with him. For the season's first game, Joonas Korpisalo has been identified as the expected starter.
Previously, Swayman's contract talks with the Bruins have been difficult, culminating in a salary arbitration in 2023. He voiced his frustration with the arbitration process and the public nature of contract discussions.
Despite these obstacles, Swayman remains intent on enhancing his skills. He plans to address all the critiques he encountered during arbitration and has already started fulfilling one objective: being reliable in the playoffs.
