The scoring started early with Justin Brazeau, who tipped in a pass from Nikita Zadorov after just 3 minutes and 23 seconds of play. Shortly after, Charlie Coyle increased the Bruins' lead in under seven minutes by scoring an unchallenged goal against Joey Daccord.
