Toronto Maple Leafs News & Updates

The Toronto Maple Leafs have appointed Lane Lambert as their new associate coach. Lambert will be joining a coaching team headed by Craig Berube, who stepped in to replace Sheldon Keefe following the Maple Leafs' first-round playoff defeat to the Boston Bruins.

Lambert's tenure with the New York Islanders ended in the middle of his second season as head coach. Before his elevation to head coach, he spent four seasons as an associate coach with the Islanders. Lambert also has experience as an assistant coach with the Washington Capitals and Nashville Predators, and he was part of the Capitals' 2018 Stanley Cup-winning team.

Meanwhile, assistant coach Dean Chynoweth will not be returning to the Maple Leafs for the 2024-25 season.
