Anthony Stolarz made 29 saves, achieving his first shutout of the season as the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Boston Bruins 4-0 on Tuesday.
Toronto made the most of three power play chances, with Morgan Rielly scoring a goal and providing two assists. William Nylander and Matthew Knies each contributed a goal and an assist, while Mitch Marner added two assists. Steven Lorentz completed the win with an empty-net goal.
The Bruins, who had successfully shut out both the Philadelphia Flyers and Seattle Kraken over the weekend, ended their 156-minute shutout streak when Rielly scored during a power play in the second period.
Despite missing their captain Auston Matthews due to an upper-body injury, the Maple Leafs displayed an effective power play, converting three of their four opportunities. This was the second game in a row where they scored with the man advantage.
The Bruins are set to play a home game against the Flames on Thursday, while the Maple Leafs are scheduled to host the Red Wings on Friday.
