Toronto Maple Leafs News & Updates

Assistant coach Guy Boucher will be leaving the Toronto Maple Leafs staff under the direction of new head coach Craig Berube.

The club has confirmed that Boucher will not be part of their plans for the 2024-25 season.

Boucher, who is 52 years old, was a member of Sheldon Keefe's staff last season. Despite a regular season record of 46-26-10, the Maple Leafs were eliminated by the Boston Bruins in the first round of the playoffs, leading to Keefe's dismissal.

Before his tenure with the Maple Leafs, Boucher served as head coach for the Tampa Bay Lightning from 2010 to 2013, where he had a record of 97-78-20, and for the Ottawa Senators from 2016 to 2019, finishing with a record of 94-108-26.

In a recent move, Berube has appointed former New York Islanders coach Lane Lambert as the Maple Leafs' associate coach.
