Utah Hockey Club News & Updates

The Utah Hockey Club has agreed to a deal with Barrett Hayton, securing him for two years at a total value of $5.3 million, which translates to an annual salary cap impact of $2.65 million. Known for his dependable performance as a two-way center, Hayton excels particularly in faceoff situations.

Initially selected as the fifth overall pick by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2018 draft, Hayton has accumulated 84 points over 201 games since making his NHL debut in 2019.

Last season, injuries restricted him to just 33 games, where he managed to score three goals and contribute seven assists. On October 8th, Utah will face Chicago in what will be the state's first-ever regular-season NHL game.
