The Vegas Golden Knights have secured defenseman Shea Theodore to a seven-year deal valued at $51.9 million.
Theodore, part of the original "Golden Misfit" lineup, has been instrumental for the Knights since they began playing in the 2017-18 season. He holds the record as the top-scoring defenseman in the franchise's history.
With Theodore's addition, the team solidifies what is regarded as one of the strongest defensive lineups in the NHL, as he teams up with Noah Hanifin and Alex Pietrangelo to create a powerful trio lasting until at least the 2026-27 season.
Theodore's contract renewal follows rumors about his status with the team in light of Hanifin's arrival. Nonetheless, the Knights have chosen to retain their experienced defenseman, demonstrating their dedication to upholding a robust defense lineup.
