In a 3-2 win against the Dallas Stars, Vegas scored twice on the power play as Mark Stone returned from an injury.
Power-play goals came from Tomas Hertl and Jack Eichel, with Nicolas Roy scoring during even strength. Adin Hill contributed with 37 saves for the victory.
The Stars' goals were scored by Mavrik Bourque and Mason Marchment. Dallas had difficulty with penalties, leading to Vegas taking advantage.
Stone, who had been out since November with a muscle injury, made a comeback and assisted on Hertl's goal.
Last season, Dallas had beaten Vegas in the playoffs, adding a layer of revenge to this encounter. Despite Dallas having more shots, Vegas's defense limited them to shots from the perimeter.
Eichel netted a crucial goal during the second period when Dallas was penalized with a double minor for high sticking. Another power-play goal for Vegas came during a 5-on-3 situation.
The victory improved the Golden Knights' recent record to 7-1-1 in their last nine games. The Stars are set to face Calgary on Sunday, while Vegas prepares to play Winnipeg on Thursday.
