In Calgary, Blake Coleman hit his 30th goal of the season and MacKenzie Weegar achieved his 20th, leading the Calgary Flames to a 5-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks in the final game of the season.
Weegar's achievement was noteworthy as he became the first NHL player to reach the milestones of 20 goals and 200 shot blocks in a single season.
Adam Klapka, Oliver Kylington, and Kevin Rooney also scored goals for the Flames. Goalie Dustin Wolf made 16 saves before conceding a goal in the closing moments of the game.
San Jose's lone goal came from Fabian Zetterlund, as the Sharks concluded the season with the league's lowest standings, missing out on playoff action for the fifth year in a row.
Weegar, reflecting on his achievement, expressed how much his teammates' genuine congratulations meant to him.
