The Wells Fargo Center, which serves as the home arena for Philadelphia's Flyers and 76ers sports teams as well as numerous entertainment events, will soon undergo a name change. Wells Fargo, currently holding the arena's naming rights, will not renew its contract set to expire in August 2025. Originally known as the CoreStates Center, this venue has been a significant landmark for Philadelphia sports, showcasing stars such as Allen Iverson, Eric Lindros, and Joel Embiid. Comcast Spectacor, the arena's owner, has expressed keen interest in finding a new naming rights partner. The 76ers, who have a lease extending through 2031, have suggested potentially relocating to a new downtown arena. Wells Fargo's decision stems from a broader strategic review of its sponsorship initiatives. Despite opting not to continue its partnership with the 76ers, the company maintains a commitment to the Philadelphia area. Recently, Comcast Spectacor has invested $400 million into renovations of the arena, which include upgraded locker rooms for both the Flyers and 76ers.All logos are the trademark & property of their owners and not NHL-Schedules.com.
