Marco Rossi netted two goals and provided an assist, and Kirill Kaprizov added a goal with two assists, leading the Minnesota Wild to a 5-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks.
Matt Boldy contributed a goal and two assists, Yakov Trenin sealed the win with an empty-net goal, and Filip Gustavsson made 26 saves for the Wild.
For the Ducks, Brock McGinn found the back of the net, while the team played without Trevor Zegras and Leo Carlsson. John Gibson stopped 28 shots in goal.
Rossi opened the scoring with a power-play goal in the second period, followed by his second goal four minutes later. Boldy added a third goal less than three minutes afterward.
Kaprizov furthered the lead in the third period, but McGinn ended hopes for a shutout with less than three minutes left to play.
The Wild have a record of 7-0-2 in their last nine road games, with Kaprizov maintaining a road points streak that has extended to thirteen games.
For the Ducks, despite bringing in Jacob Trouba through a trade, Cam Fowler equaled Corey Perry for the second-most games played in the history of the franchise.
A pivotal moment occurred when Rossi's second goal was registered as an own goal against Gibson, who mishandled a loose puck.
The Wild lead the NHL in scoring first in games, having done so seventeen times, with Anaheim following closely behind at sixteen times.
Looking ahead, the Wild will play against Los Angeles on Saturday, while the Ducks kick off a four-game road trip facing Montreal on Monday.
