The Winnipeg Jets have brought goalie Kaapo Kahkonen to their team from the Colorado Avalanche by claiming him off waivers.
Kahkonen has been moved to the team's AHL partner, the Manitoba Moose. Previously, he was with the Jets during the preseason until the Avalanche took him on October 11.
During his time with Colorado, Kahkonen played in one game where he let in five goals on 20 shots in a game they lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Over his career, he has a record of 49 wins, 68 losses, and 15 overtime losses, with a goals-against average of 3.34 and a save percentage of .898 in 140 games in the NHL.
The Jets have also placed defenseman Logan Stanley on injured reserve starting from last Saturday. So far this season, Stanley has scored one goal and provided two assists over 11 games.
