Winnipeg Jets News & Updates

The participation of Brenden Dillon, a defenseman for the Winnipeg Jets, in Game 4 is uncertain due to a lacerated hand he sustained during the third period of Game 3 versus the Colorado Avalanche last Friday.

After Dillon's hand was seemingly sliced by a skate blade, it needed several stitches. Coach Rick Bowness was relieved to announce that the injury was not severe.

The injury took place amidst a fray at the close of a period that saw the Jets conceding five goals without response, leading to a 2-1 advantage in the series for the Avalanche.

Although there were numerous attempts to identify how Dillon got injured, the cause remains a mystery. Neal Pionk, Dillon's defensive partner, mentioned that he was oblivious to the incident until they reunited on the bench.

The Jets are currently focusing on addressing their defensive challenges in hopes of balancing the series and averting the threat of elimination in Winnipeg. In the three playoff games so far, the Avalanche have netted 17 goals, a sharp increase from allowing just four goals in their three regular-season matchups against the Jets.

Coach Bowness commended Dillon for his resilience and leadership qualities, emphasizing his vital role for the team, both in the game and within the locker room environment.
