Alex Iafallo and Vladislav Namestnikov each contributed a goal and an assist as the Winnipeg Jets triumphed over the Dallas Stars with a 4-1 victory, setting an NHL milestone by winning 14 out of their first 15 games this season.
Nikolaj Ehlers and Rasmus Kupari also found the net, and Cole Perfetti added two assists. Connor Hellebuyck stopped 32 shots to secure the win.
Winnipeg successfully scored on two of their five power plays, whereas Dallas couldn't capitalize on any of their four power play opportunities.
Roope Hintz managed to score for Dallas in the final minute, while Jake Oettinger conceded three goals from 15 attempts before being substituted for Casey DeSmith.
The Jets took an early advantage with Iafallo's power-play goal, followed by Kupari's second goal of the season, and Ehlers' ninth goal increased their lead to 4-0 by the second period.
Stars faced challenges right from the beginning after falling behind early, with Hellebuyck being particularly tough to beat.
Jets displayed dominance in the initial periods, outshooting the Stars and expanding their lead to 4-0, which led to Oettinger being replaced in the net.
Kupari's goal was pivotal in extending Winnipeg's lead to 2-0, cementing their control in the game.
Hellebuyck’s impressive shutout streak of 191:47, a record for the franchise, came to an end with Hintz’s goal in the last minute.
The Stars are set to face Pittsburgh next, while the Jets will commence a three-game series against the New York Rangers.
