Mika Zibanejad led the charge with two goals and an assist, while Artemi Panarin also netted a goal, helping the New York Rangers secure a 4-3 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes for the first match of their playoff series' second round.
Vincent Trocheck made significant contributions with a goal and an assist, alongside Chris Kreider's pair of assists, propelling the Rangers to a seven-game winning streak that carries over from the regular season. In goal, Igor Shesterkin blocked 22 shots, becoming the third goalkeeper in the team’s history to notch five consecutive wins in the playoffs.

Zibanejad initiated the game's scoring with an early goal, subsequently equalized by Slavin. The Rangers then constructed a two-goal lead within the first period, courtesy of another goal by Zibanejad on a power play and Trocheck's effort on a short-handed breakaway.
With his performance, Zibanejad extended his point streak to 11 games, while Roslovic pushed his streak to six games.
