Winnipeg mounted a comeback from a 3-goal shortfall in the final period to secure a 5-3 victory over Carolina. The decisive goal came from Sean Monahan, who capitalized on an empty-net opportunity at the 3:13 mark, following an unsuccessful puck clearance by Carolina's goalie Pyotr Kochetkov. Nino Niederreiter increased the lead with another goal towards the end of the game.
