Kuznetsov netted his debut goal with the Hurricanes and Anderson achieved his first shutout in more than a year, propelling Carolina to a shutout win of 4-0 against the Panthers. In addition to his goal, Kuznetsov contributed with an assist. Jarvis, Necas, and Svechnikov each found the back of the net for Carolina as well. Andersen managed to block 21 shots to secure the victory, whereas Bobrovsky saved 32 shots for the Panthers, who experienced their fifth shutout of the season.
