Frank Vatrano's three goals propelled the Anaheim Ducks to a 4-1 triumph over the Vegas Golden Knights, interrupting the Knights' series of wins and clinching the second wild card position for them. After initially lagging, Anaheim bounced back in the second period with scores from Vatrano and Eichel. The third period saw LaCombe and Vatrano finding the net in quick succession, securing the lead for the Ducks. With just 15 seconds remaining, Vatrano netted his third goal into an empty net. The defeat for Vegas means falling from third in the Pacific Division to occupying the second wild card in the Western Conference.
