Backup goaltender Casey DeSmith achieved his initial playoff win, contributing to the Vancouver Canucks gaining the home-ice advantage in their matchup with the Nashville Predators. The Canucks emerged victorious with a 2-1 score, thanks to power-play goals from J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser, whereas Luke Evangelista netted the sole goal for Nashville. DeSmith stopped 30 shots, and the Predators failed to capitalize on any of their five power play opportunities. Nashville aims to stave off elimination in Game 4, which is scheduled for Sunday.
