Nikita Kucherov netted his fourth goal of the season, leading the Tampa Bay Lightning to a victory in their home opener against the Vancouver Canucks, in a game postponed due to Hurricane Milton. Kucherov's initial goal was complemented by scores from Brayden Point, Anthony Cirelli, and Brandon Hagel. Andrei Vasilevskiy contributed with 26 saves for the Lightning. Conor Garland scored the sole goal for the Canucks in the third period, leaving Vancouver with a record of 0-1-2 after three games.
