Artemi Panarin scored two goals to lead the New York Rangers to a 5-2 victory over the New York Islanders on Sunday. Chris Kreider, Vincent Trocheck, and Adam Edstrom also found the net for the Rangers, who continued their success on home ice. Twice, the Islanders managed to cut the Rangers' lead down to one goal, but both times Panarin restored the two-goal advantage. Rangers' goaltender Igor Shesterkin made 35 saves, matched by the Islanders' Ilya Sorokin. Panarin has now tallied points in 10 of New York's 11 games, currently topping the Rangers' scoring chart with 18 points. Meanwhile, the Islanders have been shut out four times and have reached three or more goals in only six games.
