Trevor Lewis netted two goals, and Kevin Fiala contributed another during a power play, leading the Los Angeles Kings to a 5-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild. For the first time this season, the Wild lost a game after taking an early lead. Their power play faced challenges, failing to score in four opportunities, despite having opened the scoring in nine of their 12 games. Fiala's goal, which gave the Kings the lead, was their second in just 4:25 minutes into the second period. With this win, the Kings climbed to the top of the Pacific Division with 19 points, while the Wild's record fell to 6-1-2 in games where they scored first.
