In an overtime thriller, rookie Macklin Celebrini netted a goal just 46 seconds into extra time, leading the San Jose Sharks to a 5-4 triumph over the Detroit Red Wings. The Sharks battled back after a late power-play goal from Detroit, securing their second straight win and boosting their record to 3-1-2 over the past six games. Despite trailing for much of the match, San Jose's spirited performance saw them outshooting the Red Wings 34-20. The Red Wings, who have now dropped five of their last six games, initially led 3-2 in the second period but conceded an own goal, which the Sharks capitalized on to clinch the victory.
